Needed to get out of the house and yesterday's weather was perfect. Pembroke was our destination. Checking out camping trailers was our excuse.
Fortunately our road had been sanded so getting out wasn't a problem. You can see we don't have much snow left.
It is a beautiful drive east on 62 then north on 41. Lots of old buildings and log barns as well as frozen rivers and lakes.
By 10 we were in need of some nourishment and Carol knew just where to find the best cinnamon buns in Ontario. (other than home-made ones)
These buns are as good as my mom made and I had to promise not to reveal the location; but if you click on the image above and do some detective work you should get the answer.
Finally, our destination. Don and Carol are interested in these little tear-drop trailers. If you have ever used one send us your comments.
They are small but Don can fit and it looks like a very comfortable bed.
I'll post more news about Sherri once I hear from Mary.
Thanks for stopping by.

It looks like a nice excursion day with lovely buns. The adres to get them is a little bit to far away for us; what a pity!

Yes, it sounds as though it was a nice excursion after being house-bound due to the ice. We have not found any place to get cinnamon buns or even oatmeal cookies and peanut butter ones. There is a bakery near where we are staying, but the cookies and pastries are much different - afghans, for example, which are also nice. Will have to check the regular grocery store today, as I've not even seen anything except packaged cookies there. The little trailer does sound interesting. Hoping for more good news regarding Sherri.
