STOVE VENT FIXED

Peter and Dave from 5 Star Innovations were here yesterday working on a number of small jobs we needed done.

First job on the list was re-locating the electrical plug for the stove vent. That was an easy fix and then the guys worked outside.

During the winter we will get ice forming along the top or sides of our doors. Here the guys remove the steel siding and then resealed around the doors.

Every inch was filled with spray-foam to make sure we have eliminated any air leaks around the doors.

By the end of the day everything was replaced and the doors looked good. Hopefully next winter we will not see ice forming on the window above the door.

Today we are off to Peterborough for appointments and a visit with Sean and Casey.  Not the best day for travel as they are calling for snow and freezing rain today.

Thanks for stopping by and safe travels everyone.

  1. So lucky to have the quality of workmen you seem to attract !! I am sure all those little jobs will reap rewards next winter. Think of me as I try to keep ahead of the water seeping in our basement. Believe it or not our lake is up to our patio. MUCH higher than last year. The ground water is obviously attracted to our basement floor. Now we have to consider the options for addressing this issue. It will be expensive no matter which course we pursue.
