NEW FIREPIT

Yesterday was the perfect day for working outside, warm, sunny, snow melting. Since we had boiled our last sap Tuesday night it was also the perfect time to build a new firepit.

The new firepit is made from concrete blocks lined with stone. Hopefully it will last the rest of the season and then we can decide what changes to make for next year.

As you can see the snow is still here but it has gone down considerably. Not as much as in Bolton where our daughter Sherri was out working in her flowerbeds yesterday. They are probably three weeks ahead of us.

We still have ice on the lakes, although it is getting soft and you can see open water on the smaller ponds.

Looks like rain later today so not sure how much sap I'll get boiled. No fun sitting in the rain trying to keep a fire going.

Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by.
