Sleeping in the Trees

Leanne and Davey didn't arrive until 1 am so they slept in the beautiful gazebo at Chris's place. From inside you get a panoramic view of the lake and the tree branches zig zag across your view; much like sleeping in a tree fort we may have built as kids but with the luxury of staying at the Royal York in Toronto.

The gazebo is located at the end of a short path, not far from the main cottage.

Chris likes to have a gang around and today there were crews there to build more tent platforms and some to do repairs inside the cottage; a busy place.

Davey and Leanne explain how amazing it is to sleep out in the woods in such comfort. They felt spoiled.

Back at our place Herb and Jeremy were busy finishing up the downspouts and eavestrough. Thanks guys, an excellent job.

While we gave Leanne and Davey the tour we were escorted by the chickens who stayed close but wouldn't let us pet them.

Looking for bugs amongst the rocks. Today we are back at work putting up walls and making sure everything is ready for the bunkie delivery tomorrow.

This is our bunkie yesterday. You can see Peter putting the trim on. Today the roof goes on and tomorrow it will be delivered.

This is the big weekend up here in Bancroft. It's the annual Gem and Craft Show and the town will be packed. Do you have plans for the weekend?

Thanks for dropping by and hope to see you up here soon.
