IS IT the BARBECUE or the BARBECUER?

Bought this cute portable charcoal BBQ when we were in Peterborough yesterday. It's small, perfect for the trailer and saves us using our propane.

I had to assemble it but that didn't take long and here it is ready to cook steak.

Tossed on the briquettes, doused the whole thing with fire-starter and I had flames all over the place. Lots of flames but no heat.  Maybe I just need to be patient.

Forty five minutes later, still no heat and the only thing it was good for was Mina's imagination.  Don't you just love her glove?

Time to transfer supper over to Uncle Paul's fire-pit. Now we've got heat.

Tien and Mina tend to the food while Paul sits and suffers with his cold. No fun camping when you are sick.

Just about done and we are all hungry.

Olga, Mary and Mina set the table and we are ready to eat. Thanks Olga and Paul, supper was delicious.

So why didn't our new portable BBQ produce the heat to cook potatoes and steak; was it the BBQ or the barbecuer? We'll give it one more try and see what happens.
