INSPECTIONS, WIRES AND SAWDUST

Yesterday was one of those days where we just worked and didn't stop.  Didn't have lunch until 1 pm and then worked right through until after 5. Ben and Marvin worked on steel siding and building bulkheads over the doors. We need those to get water and electricity to the "great-room" from the mechanical room.

The electrician was here and we now have wires dangling in the bedrooms, washrooms, laundry-room and mechanical room. Today they will bring the wiring across the hall and into the kitchen.

Two guys came to measure for the chimney and will be back in two weeks for the installation.

Neighbours dropped by for a tour during all the drilling, banging and sawdust flying. They were impressed with the progress.

Today Margaret, Andrew and Vallery arrive to help us and be the first to stay in our bunkie. Mary has done such a cute job of decorating it and making it very cozy. There is now a mattress on the queen bed thanks to Annie and Mary's shopping trip to Bancroft.

The best part of the day is "Skyping" family and friends when we get a minute of quiet away from work. It was great to chat and see our friend Mike from the west coast and here is the best picture of all .......................................

Owen (our grandson) on Skype. We have been so busy we haven't been down to hold him in a month but it is always good to see him on Skype and chat with his mom. He's a little blurred because he's never still and he is teething so prefers to have something in his mouth to rub his gums on. He is just a delight to hold.

Today the electricians are back, Mary will continue to tape and mud the great room and Ben, Andrew and I will work on putting up drywall once the inspector leaves.

Thanks for stopping by and hope to get some pictures up tomorrow.
