The wild turkeys are back. We haven't seen them all winter but yesterday I saw two flocks out and about. Before long the Toms will be courting another sign that spring is here.
Picked up some kindling from the mill. It will have to thaw before I can use it as I had to dig it out from under a snowbank.
I now have the last of our tile so hopefully Paul will be here early next week to finish the bathroom.
Today looks like another mild rainy day. No sap flow yesterday and maybe none today but Sunday for sure as we are getting up to +7*C
Lots of jobs to complete before we start to boil sap so I guess it's time for breakfast and then outside to improve our fire-pit.

ABOUT US
- Art and Mary
- Bancroft, Ontario, Canada
- We are two retired Canadians living in an off grid passive solar home near Bancroft, Ontario. This is all new to us and we are surprised at how comfortable the house is regardless of the temperature outside. When not home we are usually travelling and exploring North America. We just bought a cargo trailer we plan to convert to a camper for our travels. Mary loves to quilt and Art enjoys photography.
