Yesterday Peter was here to do more windowsills and build a stand for one of our electric water heaters. I know, it's hard to believe, living off grid and installing two water heaters but that is what we are about to do.
This heater sits in our mechanical room and will preheat the water from the well before it goes into the propane heater. This should reduce our propane consumption by 50%
If we can achieve that goal then we should be able to get by with one tank of propane a year. I will let you know the outcome a year from now.
