LUMBERYARDS

We have a number of mills in the area all producing wood products. It's great to be able to buy directly from the mill and even get your lumber custom cut or edged to your preference.

The mills have been stockpiling logs all winter.

Heavy machinery moves the logs to the sawmill where the milling process starts.

The logs go in one end ......

boards come out the other end.

It's a noisy place but I love the smell of fresh cut wood and enjoy the atmosphere and sights whenever I visit. 

Lumber is big business here in the north.
