Rock Hound SP New Mexico

We arrived here this afternoon about 3:30 local time. We gained an hour as we travelled into Mountain time coming through Texas. Last night we slept in a rest area and it was cold.

We've been seeing a lot of this black top the past few days. It was good to be able to share the driving and give our eyes a rest.

We are set up here in Rock Hound SP, New Mexico. We took an electric site ($14.00/night) since we want our electric furnace to work tonight. Last night the temperature dipped to -5*C and we saw snow in the ditches as we drove into the park this afternoon. I know, no sympathy from our Canadian readers.

We will stay two nights then move on to Rock City SP and see what it has to offer.
