Once a year they hold Canada Day in Quartzsite and yesterday was that day. One hundred and sixty three Canadians came together for a pot-luck lunch and a good time was had by all.
Mary's home-made, nutmeg, cinnamon cake cooing outside so she could ice it before we left. Delicious!
Everyone brought a dish and paid two dollars at the door which paid for the meat and door prizes.
The tables were decorated, Canadian place-mats, flags and red tablecloths.
It was great to meet folks from all over Canada. One couple I spoke with from Nova Scotia have been coming to Quartzsite for seventeen years.
So isn't it time for you to come on down and join the party?
