Evening by the lake

It was a great day at Lake Havasu. We enjoyed the morning flights then sat by the shore in the evening to see the balloons launch as the sun was about to set.

Directly across from our camp-ground is the major launch area for the balloons. Can you see the balloons just above the horizon?

They launched 21 balloons last night, some were very unique, like "Humpty Dumpty", and the "Floating Gold-fish".

Check out the "Floating Gold-Fish" in the top left corner. Click on the picture to enlarge it.

Watching from the water is a great way to see the show up close. We had a number of campers take their kayaks out for a better view.

This morning we are heading down to the main staging area where the vendors and entertainment are located. Check back tomorrow for more pictures.

  1. Again, beautiful pics. The goldfish is cool but the upside down humpty is pretty funny.
