Now that we have completed most of our construction projects it's time to relax and enjoy the fruits of our labours. This time of year is perfect for sitting on our porch and having breakfast or a cup of coffee.

A new addition to the porch is Mary's swing. It is another healthy way to relax, stretch and enjoy the great outdoors all from the comforts of our home.

The swing is designed to hold even me so I will be able to relax and get some use of it as well. I first made sure everything was secure and even went up into the attic to brace the points of attachment so my weight wouldn't overload the system.

Next project is the hammock. Andrew and Margaret gave us a beautiful hammock when we first moved in but we have been so busy getting the inside done we haven't taken the time to install it and enjoy it. If I can find two suitable points of attachment we will get it up this afternoon.

I'll post more pictures as we enjoy the summer from our porch here deep in the woods of Hastings Highlands.
