TIME TO COVER-UP

It's the season to cover-up bug shirts and garden cover are both essential. Mary is home and busy planting, we are already eating lettuce from our garden. Deer and groundhogs love the buffet our gardens provide but this year we are determined to keep them out

This morning we worked on building chicken wire frames over the raised garden beds.

This is our cold-frame already covered and producing lettuce. Looks rather impenetrable to me but those pesky raccoons can often get into the most secure structure. Time will tell if we have been successful.

Mary is about as covered and protected as one can be but still comes in with another thirty black-fly bites; go figure.

Now we are off to the lumberyard to get the wood to frame the covers and get them in place before tonight.

Enjoy the day and thanks for stopping by.
