A frost warning was issued for our area last night so out came the garden covers. Just a little further north, Barry's Bay was told they might see snow. I'm ready for hot days and warm nights, had enough of snow for a few months.
It's very easy to protect your plants in raised garden beds. Simply lay your fabric across the chicken wire and anchor it in place; done.
Under the blanket everything looked fine, no frost damage and our lettuce is ready for picking.
No sign of frost here but .......................
the raccoons were busy last night. Lots of holes dug looking for turtle eggs laid last year. Soon we will see baby turtles emerging from the sand and heading down to the pond, a long perilous journey for sure.
Drive safely and watch for turtles on the roads as they are looking for suitable places to bury their eggs this time of year.
Thanks for stopping by.
