Trail-Breaker

Travel into the outback is so much easier these days. Most RVers out here in Arizona have some type of ATV which allows quick and easy access to the thousands of acres of land not accessible by road. One bike that will take you there for sure is called the "Trail Breaker"

Tony, our neighbour, loves his "trail-breaker". It allows him to travel to spots he would take hours to hike into and get the pictures he wants to take. He can tear down the motor, replace a drive belt or spark plug regardless of how far he is from any road. That bag at his feet carries all the tools he needs to keep going.

You see Tony is a photographer of landscapes and his images are inspiring.. They are the type of photographs you see in National Geographic, the ones on the cover of nature magazines. But to get the picture when the sun's rays are perfect means getting up and breaking camp long before the sun is on the horizon. At three in the morning we will hear him ride out to some mountain peak just to get the perfect shot.

And this is the bike that takes him up into the "high country" or deep into the valley to catch the sunrise at just the right moment. This is the bike you need if photographing the back country is your passion. Next week I get my first chance to ride it, close to camp, where it is safe and I won't fall off a cliff. I'll let you know what happens when I ride the "tank".
