NO TAIL

I had never seen a bird without a tail but there it was one morning collecting sunflower seeds like the others.

You can easily see he has no tail, not even some small tail feathers.

This is the way he should look but he is clearly missing his tail feathers.

He can fly and land and after some research it seems his tail feathers will grow back.

What happened to them? 

Hopefully soon he will be looking like the rest of the flock that devours our seeds.
