HOME AGAIN NOV 1st.

We got home about 5:30 last night after four days visiting Carol and Don in St. Catharines. We had a great time and got our shopping fix for the next few months. Up here in Bancroft we have a very limited choice when it comes to shopping and Don was kind enough to chauffeur us around as we hit the malls and got our shopping completed.

Our only stop on the way home was a visit with Bonnie and Winston our old neighbours in Brampton. They had very kindly been storing some items left over when we sold and moved up to Bancroft.

We thought there were just a few items but as you can see there was quite a pile of stuff to load into the truck. Fortunately we found places for everything and today will go through the boxes and discover stuff we haven't seen in four years.

The drive home was uneventful but the temperature kept getting colder as we drove north. Once past Apsley we started seeing snow on the trees. This was our road last night as we drove it at 5:30.

First task was build a fire and get some water heating. Then we unloaded the truck and headed over to look after Matthew's chickens.

Hunting season started yesterday and the boys are out in the bush for the next two weeks. Hunting is so popular that the mill at the end of our road closes for a week to let everyone go and hunt.

Today we plan to relax and enjoy the fire.

Thanks for stopping by and safe travels everyone.
