We just got back from seeing the neurologist in Peterborough. He spent about an hour with us asking more questions, doing more tests. Bottom line he believes it is an inner ear problem that caused my dizziness and blurred vision. All tests on my heart, arteries, CT scan, blood work all came back normal. My cholesterol is up slightly. They want it at 1.8 mine is 2.01. Our neurologist believes those numbers will come down with some consistent exercise and avoidance of sugar and salt.
Going in we were prepared for the worst but from our viewpoint this is all good news.
Thanks again for all your prayers, and well wishes.
Now it's time to get outside and enjoy the day.
Drive safely and thanks for keeping an eye on us.

There is a food movement called "Paleo". It is a sugar free diet (along with dairy and grains) And even though you may still go with some of the ingredients, it has really good recipes for sugar free desserts. No need to deprive yourself!
Try following the whole lifestyle, or just the sugar free parts.
this is one site I really like:

there is also a book I love called the UnDiet

she's a little kooky, but if you can get past how she writes, her recipes are good, and her philosophy is even better. I went off the wagon when I got pregnant. oops! I think it's time I went back on to give Ziggy the best chance at being healthy!
Glad it wasn't a stroke, but only a warning to get your act together! We'd like you around a little longer!
