Old Brampton

This Blog is forr my sisters who might recognize the photos and the changes.

Do you remember the Burtons? This house is across the street from them on Elizabeth street. Looks like it was "fire-bombed" last week. Guess who lives here now?

Recognize this spot? That's what's left of the Elliotte house on Elliotte street. Guess it wasn't worth saving.

This was one of the first schools in Brampton, but when we were kids it was the home of Brampton Hydro. It's on Queen Street across from the old Marshall and Blackwell grocery store. Remember the five cent bags of candy? YUMMY!

Now here is a house that has been greatly improved. It's the hold Haynes house on the corner of Queen and Elliotte. It was always such a dilapidated place when we were kids. Looks pretty good today.

This is where Jimmy Emblum lived. I remember going there to get him and walk to school together and there was a great upset, the basement was flooded. It was probably after Hurricane Hazle went through, but I'm not sure.

Well that's your walk down memory lane for today. See you in a few hours
