If you look closely you will see a wasp nest just above the electrical conduit up near the front door.
No idea when they moved in but they have staked out their territory and don't want intruders. Mary and I both have shiners thanks to these guys.
If you see us in the next few days, the swollen eyes are not from a domestic battle, they're from the wasp attack.
Tomorrow we will get some ammunition in town and attack from our own vantage point. Of course that all depends on our ability to see through swollen eyelids.
