DONUTS

Saturday Maggie felt like a donut so we walked over to the Donut Monster on Locke Street. They were having a promotion to encourage people to visit, as the street had just recenly been completely redesigned.

Out front was a spinning wheel which gave donuts as prizes. I was hoping for a free dozen but our spin landed on "SORRY".

Inside they had a wide variety of donuts to select from so we picked six and had them boxed for easy travel. Folks were lined up twenty deep waiting their turn to order. The donuts are delicious but at $3.00 each a little pricy for my Bancroft pocket. I remember buying donuts for 5 cents each from Murray's Bakery back in Brampton and they were just as delicious.

Walking there and back did burn a few calories so I didn't feel too bad about enjoying the extra sugar that day.

Sean cut the donuts into quarters giving us a sample from each. If I lived on Locke Street I'm afraid Donut Monster would be a daily destination; delicious but deadly.

Today's walk won't be quite as pleasant as we now have eight inches of snow on the ground.

Enjoy the sunshine today and safe travels if you are on the road.
