It was wonderful to have supper with Paul and Ann the other night. Paul does "Airstream" restoration and also did our solar installation so whenever we are in Texas we like to stop and visit. They always make us feel so welcome.
We arrived about 2:30 in the afternoon and Paul and Ann were just catching a quick bite for lunch. They are both so busy that often lunch is eaten late in the afternoon.
Also visiting were Barb and John from Niagara Falls, Canada. We met them in Quartzsite last winter and it was great to see them again. We are hoping they will come up and visit this summer.
Paul restores vintage Airstream trailers and from the look of his yard he will be busy all summer. If you have an "Airstream" that needs some work, call Paul, you won't be disappointed.
Ann and Mary get along well because they are always sharing their creative ideas. Ann has recently taken up making art work from metal sheets using a blowtorch. Wow! She is a talented women. Her Christmas gift of the "Airstream" trailer will occupy a cherished place in our home and be a reminder of the good times we've shared.
Ann and Paul go over the maps with Mary and suggest a route home. Yes, it is time to head north and get back to Bancroft.
Doesn't that make your mouth water? OH, so delicious! Thanks Ann and Paul, supper was fantastic and the dessert was the best. Thanks for the second piece.
Time to hit the road. The next few days we will be just driving so I may not have time to update the blog. Once home we have some meetings as we get back to construction on our retirement home and get ready to welcome our first grandchild into our lives.
Check back in a few days or few weeks. Once we are home and I have time to update our blog you will be the first to know.
Safe travels and we will chat later.
