Last Minute Jobs

Good morning Pat; thanks for the lovely note yesterday. You made my day.

Today was the day for last minute jobs.. I hadn't had the brakes or hubs inspected since I bought it and that was something I needed to get done. So after breakfast, Don, Doug and I drove over to Avonton where Doug (mechanic) pulled the wheels and inspected the brakes and drums.

Don and Doug, watch Doug pull the wheel off.

The brake lining is inspected and the hub is greased.

Doug puts the hub back on and after 4 hours we were ready to head home. I thought the job would take two hours but Doug is very thorough and made sure everything was working properly for our trip to Arizona.

Back at Carol and Don's it was time to clean the truck and trailer and get them looking their best. Thanks Don for all your help; what an improvement.

I helped too.

Looks good!

Time for a little libation and cheese in Sharon and Doug's backyard.

Mom enjoys a glass of her favourite wine.

Lots of discussion and plans made for future gatherings. Looking forward to many more visits. Thanks Carol and Don, Sharon and Doug, we had a great time.

Today we cross the border so it may be a few days before we get our Verizon card activated. Be patient.
