We arrived back in Quartzsite last night about 6:30. No problems with the flights, connections, truck or trailer; although I will look into a cheaper way to park the truck for 3 weeks if we do this again next year.
Thanks everyone for all your kindness shown when we were back in Canada. It was great to see and visit family and friends and get caught up on all the "Canadian" news. This morning it's minus 2 here so don't envy us too much. It will be 25 by Saturday.
The furnace is on, Mary is still sleeping and I'm watching the sun come up. No pictures yet but I will take some later and post them tomorrow. Here are a few from our last days in Toronto.
Stopped by unexpectedly to see Paul & Olga. Here Paul is glad to see his sister.
Mom's old house. Don't know what they have done to it, but we never had icicles like this. Sad to see.
Don't miss the commute to Toronto every morning. Mary prefers to sleep in now.
The harbour is frozen and it will be a few more weeks before spring arrives.
Can you see the red canoe? Looks lost sitting beside the Gardner Expressway.

I assure you that the canoe looks much better when the snow is gone and the park is all green. It was great having you guys over.
ReplyDeleteEnjoying your updates as always. It was so much fun getting together with you. Can't wait till you are near neighbours ! I took the liberty of sharing your blog with many of the former Huttonvillites. Hope you don't mind. I also sent out a rambling letter which you should get as well. Glad to hear you are safe and sound. See you soon.
