Mary's surgery went well. The surgeon was pleased with the spinal re--alignment he was able to achieve. Next Tuesday, if all goes well they will move Mary to a rehab hospital in Toronto. She expects to be there for a week then home by the 24th; we shall see.
Mary is anxious to be home and we are looking forward to that day.
Thanks for all your prayers, notes and support. They mean more than you realize.
Good day Art. So appreciate your updates. I am sure you are thrilled with the reports of the surgery. I am happy to hear that she will spend a little time in the rehab hospital. Do you know which one she is going to ? After both my hip surgeries I went to St. John's rehab hospital. I was looked after so very well. I was only there for a week but it made the move home a little easier. I do hope she is having her pain managed.
ReplyDeleteThat can be the biggest issue in the healing process. Blessings and thoughts are sent to you, Mary and the family.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery …
ReplyDeleteSo enjoyed learning about your journey and lovely home on Exploring Alternatives. Wishing you both well and a quick recovery to Mary.
ReplyDeleteWonderful news!! Prayers continue ❤
ReplyDeleteI am new to your blog, having watched the show on your homestead this afternoon. Is the kind of lifestyle I'll be in parking on myself here shortly. Mary, I sympathize with you and your troubles and health issues. A year ago I fell and struck my face on the cement parking lot had a gas station, which caused a double hematoma. I was unconscious on a minor later for six weeks. Unfortunately missed out on that consciously. Lol I have heard that it's not fun at all to be on a vent later while you're conscious. I have been in a nursing home rehab at recent and looking forward to going home in a near future. My diabetes also caused me to lose my right foot to amputation recently. But, however, the healing in both instances has been quite miraculous, if you ask me. I am favored of God and I appreciate that blessing! My prayer is for you Mary to have the same experience and that you are able to enjoy your homestead, Gardens and projects with your husband as soon as possible. My prayers and warmest wishes to you both. ~Rod
