Yesterday we joined a convoy of cars from our church and headed north to Spectacle Lake.
Our lead vehicle was this beautifully restored 52 Chevrolet driven by Claude Best. He did an excellent job of keeping everyone in sight and organized. The route he followed was full of colour as you can see by the next few photos.
Our destination for lunch was Spectacle Lake Lodge situated near Algonquin Park.
It was a perfect setting for an enjoyable lunch and views of the fall colours.
Lunch was served inside and there was lots of time to sit and chatter while the soup and sandwiches were delivered.
After lunch we mingled on the deck not wanting to rush away from this magical moment.
But we did leave and headed to Barry's Bay for dessert. A fall tour wouldn't be complete without ice-cream. Sorry no pictures, too busy enjoying the ice-cream, with a cone in each hand.
Our final stop was a quick tour of Carol and Bruce's summer home near Combermere. Maybe next year we should plan a BBQ supper here.
Thanks everyone for a wonderful day full of great memories. Hope we can do it again next year.
Safe travels everyone.
