Babies

This is the time of year we see them. Every species seems to have its time slot for delivering babies and as the weeks go by we catch a glimpse of some newborn just out of the nest or den. Yesterday this little red-fox was out exploring.

Didn't see the mother and he didn't stay long but it was obvious he was curious and this was all new to him.

He wasn't too sure about me or the camera and kept looking as if trying to find his mom.

Retreat was the solution, so off he went, back into the underbrush to find home and safety. I wonder what mom will say when she gets back and finds he has been out and about without her permission.

Sounds like our kids just a few years ago.
