Rebuilding

If you spend any time in a city, you will soon realize that there is constant change going on. Roads are being torn up so underground services can be upgraded. Old buildings are torn down to make way for new ones. Toronto is no different than any other city. This rebuilding of the city never stops, always progressing. The city is moving up as well as out.

New skyscrapers, covered in glass give people the chance to live close to work but view the vistas in evey direction.

These cranes are a sign of jobs, as they work to build and fill in the small spaces within the city core.

New buildings demand more services so the utilities burried below ground need to be updated as well.

Even homes that were lived in just a few months ago are sometimes demolished for larger homes filling every available space allowed by the city building codes.

Yes, life in Toronto, always changing always progressing, never stagnant. Come for a visit and see for yourself.

  1. Did you notice the excavation that was going on in the second picture, just looking over the bridge and you would have seen guys working. It is remains of the engine house of Grand Trunk Railway from the 1850's.
