Logging

Today we finished the woodpile and pulled more logs out of the bush. The stack of firewood is much larger and there are more logs for us to cut when we get the time.

Here we are using the skid-steer to pull the logs out of the bush

We used the fingers of the grapple bucket to hold the chain while we pulled the logs into the clearing.  A better idea would be to weld hooks on the bucket and attach the chains to the hooks. Maybe next year........

Sean, attaches the clamp to the log and the force from the chain drives the pins into the trunk.

Next we skid the log out, very easy to do.

Looking out from the cab as we back the log out of the bush.

OOPS! too much backing without checking........now what?

Sean used the bucket and he got the skid-steer out ......... no problem.

Thanks for stopping by.
