Fredericksburg, Texas

Just a quick note to let you know we are attending an "Airstream" rally here in Fredericksburg for the weekend. We drove route 16, through the Texas hill country yesterday, pretty drive. Enjoy the pictures and I will try to write more tomorrow.
Driving route 16 from Bandera, Texas to Fredericksburg, Wednesday Dec. 8th

Route 16 was a real twister, but the truck and trailer handled it no problem. Each bridge we crossed has a "flood gauge" and one must be very cautious if there is heavy rain in the area. Flash floods can occur in minutes and take your car right off the highway. The locals often refuse to drive at night if its raining.

This is Main Street, Fredericksburg, Texas. Lots of beautiful old buildings full of quality locally produced crafts, jewelry, boots, clothes, etc. Mary could easily spend two days here enjoying the shops.
