Driving route 16 from Bandera, Texas to Fredericksburg, Wednesday Dec. 8th
Route 16 was a real twister, but the truck and trailer handled it no problem. Each bridge we crossed has a "flood gauge" and one must be very cautious if there is heavy rain in the area. Flash floods can occur in minutes and take your car right off the highway. The locals often refuse to drive at night if its raining.
This is Main Street, Fredericksburg, Texas. Lots of beautiful old buildings full of quality locally produced crafts, jewelry, boots, clothes, etc. Mary could easily spend two days here enjoying the shops.
