If my grandmother could see how easy we can stay connected even out in the middle of a forest she wouldn't believe it. The telephone was invited when my grandmother was just a little girl in 1876 when Alexander Graham Bell spoke those immortal words, " Mr. Watson, come here, I want to see you". Today you don't even have to leave the room to be seen. "Skype" makes it possible to talk with anyone with a computer, see them as they sit in front of their camera and it's all ........ FREE!!!! Call from Texas to Toronto, no charge. Remarkable.
Most mornings Mary is able to connect with one or both daughters and get the latest news. Very comforting for mom to be able to touch base with her children. If you travel and haven't tried it you need to, it is truly an amazing experience.

Modern technology, where will we be in 20 years?
Tomorrow we leave for Fredericksburg and points further west. It may be a while before I have a wifi connection but I will post as often has the connections appear.
