CHRISTMAS BAKING

We are busy in the kitchen most mornings getting breads and buns ready for our family gatherings this Christmas. First out of the oven this morning was this delicious, mouth satisfying cinnamon/chocolate bread twist. We put half in the freezer for later enjoyment and the other half disappeared before we had time to think. It's hard to stop when something is so delicious.

Next came two walnut sourdough loaves, just as satisfying just not as sweet. These two went into the freezer for later consumption.

Finally the cinnamon buns, a family tradition since we were little kids. These are made from sourdough and have cherries tucked discreetly into the folds.

A little cream-cheese that Mary makes is added as icing, but without the sugar. These too are safely in storage until we head down to see family after Christmas.

Now it's time to get out and walk; can't just sit around and let all that dough accumulate in all the wrong places.

Safe travels everyone and thanks for stopping by.
