Indian Summer written by William Wilfred Campbell
I was reminded of this poem as I sat and listed to the blue-jays call as they enjoyed our sunflower seeds.
I think I first heard this poem is Mrs. Miller's class. Our desks were made of cast iron, attached to two runners in one long row with an inkwell in the top right corner of the desk. Such wonderful memories of carefree days at McHugh Public school.
