Rolling West

We are back on the road and slowly making our way to Arizona. Today we are camped in Koreshan State Park, Florida and tomorrow we move two hours north to Oscar Scherer State Park. We are visiting family and friends so our travels are a little slower than usual, We also want to check out the beaches and other parks in the area for future visits.

We set up on site 9 as we wanted it for 3 nights and there were only two sites vacant in the park. When we went to register someone had booked the site (on line) while we were setting up so we were forced to move on Saturday to the only site left in the park.

Yes, this is alligator territory, but we haven't seen any yet.

This group didn't seem very organized or knowledgeable;  looked more like bumper boats, as they tried to get everyone launched. A canvas, cedar strip canoe wouldn't last a week in their hands.

They did manage to eventually get paddling down the river, bumping into one another as they paddled.

Now we are on site 58 and very thankful we didn't have to leave the park.

Our only guest so far, no alligators, just this big old tortoise meandering through our camp.

Happy birthday Carol. Have a wonderful day.

Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Looks like great places and lots of fun. Are you going to the Air Forum Rally "The Canopener", Jan 6, 7, 8 at Top Sail State Park?
