Water

Some people have asked how we survive here without a well. Fortunately, Bancroft allows cottagers access to their treated water through a municipal tap in the park. We can fill our water jugs whenever we are in town, without charge, and then transfer it to the holding tank in our trailer. Simply, easy, hassle free.

There is no hose connection on the tap, but we often bring an extra pail to place under the bucket to bring the tap closer to the jug.

Easy access, right in town, and it's available 24/7.

We have been experimenting with rain water collection and may try to incorporate that when we build our new home. This would give us soft water for showers and laundry, otherwise we would have to install a water softener.  Any suggestions?

Happy "CANADA DAY" everyone!

Thanks for stopping by.
