Turkeys

Looked out our trailer window this morning and couldn't believe what I saw; 20 turkeys marching like soldiers across our laneway and into the bush. These are wild turkeys and we haven't seen any all summer.

Can you see the black dots between the picnic table and canoe? ................... Turkeys

Wild turkeys and very healthy looking. Guess they know that last weekend was Thanksgiving, so now it's safe to strut around in the open.

Look at this line, all in a row, follow the leader, right through our bush. I'm sure there were at least 20 good size healthy turkeys. Now Mary is thinking we need to raise a couple of turkeys as well as chickens next year.

Cold, wet, weather has settled in here so we don't expect to see much progress on the house this week, just not safe to be up on the roof.

Thanks for dropping by.
