Design Team Visit

On Saturday February 14-09, Tom, Christine and Melanie joined us in Bancroft. The purpose of the day was to snowshoe our property, select a location for our home in the bush and get a sense of what features of the property we want to include.

The design team arrived right on time and by 11 a.m. we where strapped into our snowshoes and out on the pond. The day was perfect; blue sky, a few clouds and the temperature was tolerable. After many pictures, measurements and sketches we visited Ted and Sharon our neighbours then into "Dave's Place" for lunch.

Unfortunately we all had other plans for the rest of the day, so by 3:30 it was time to say our goodbyes and head back to Peterborough. Sean and Martha had a delicious supper for us and we were glad to crawl into bed before 10.

It was a great day and we are excited about the next phase of our design process. Our build date isn't until 2011 so we do not feel under and pressure to make quick decisions at this time.

Next posting will be the end of March as Mary is committed to writing report-cards and having parent interviews. No time for play until the March Break.

See you then.
